STAKE AMERICA is operated by Carl Christoffer Hansson, trading as STAKE AMERICA, Havneholmen 12G, 2450 Copenhagen, Denmark. Contact: support@stakeamerica.lol. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that operator, and "you" means the person or organisation buying a listing.
By buying a listing you accept these terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy.
You are buying a temporary advertising placement: your chosen name, link and logo displayed on one US state — or on all fifty — on the STAKE AMERICA map, for as long as you hold it under the rules below.
You are not buying:

The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Prices are quoted and charged in US dollars; your bank may apply its own conversion.
A price quote is valid for 30 minutes. If you complete payment after it expires, or if someone takes the state while you are paying, the purchase does not go through and you are refunded automatically. See the Refund Policy.
When you buy all fifty states, what you pay is divided across them in proportion to what each was worth, which sets the price for anyone taking one back.
There is no minimum duration. You may be displaced seconds after buying, or never. Buy on the understanding that the placement may be brief.
Your name, link and logo must not:
Query strings are stripped from links automatically. Links must resolve to a real domain. Names are limited to 24 characters and may not mix alphabets, which blocks look-alike impersonation.
You confirm you own or are authorised to use everything you submit, and you grant us permission to display it on the site and in automatically generated share images for as long as you hold the placement.
Removal for a rule breach does not reset the state's price. We may also refuse future purchases from anyone who has breached these terms.
The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue it — including taking the site offline permanently — at any time.
If we discontinue the service, placements end with it. We are not obliged to refund a placement that has already been displayed, though we may choose to refund recent purchases at our discretion.
Sales may be paused when the site reaches an operating limit. When that happens, existing placements stand and nothing new can be bought until it reopens.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the placement the claim relates to.
We are not responsible for the content of any site a listing links to. Links are screened automatically where possible, but that screening is not a guarantee. Follow links at your own risk.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your placement goes live only once Stripe confirms the payment; returning from the payment page does not by itself grant a placement.
We may update these terms. The version in force for a purchase is the version published when you bought, and the date at the top shows when this version took effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.
These terms are governed by Danish law, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in your country of residence, and you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Consumers in Denmark may complain to Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg.
